Clinical residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery is an advanced stage of postgraduate medical education aimed at developing professional competence in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases, injuries, and defects affecting the oral cavity, jaws, face, and associated structures. The residency combines theoretical knowledge with intensive clinical practice and enables residents to develop surgical, diagnostic, communicative, and decision-making skills. Particular attention is paid to dentoalveolar surgery, maxillofacial trauma, odontogenic infections, cysts and tumors, reconstructive procedures, dental implantology, and management of postoperative complications.
